Methodology:
- Our SEO company found data from the NHS website about A&E Attendances and Emergency for the third quarter of the 2023-2024 fiscal year (October 2023 – December 2023).
- From this data, we worked out the percentage of attendees at each NHS Trust that waited over the 4-hour target time. To work this out, I subtracted the percentage of waiting 4 hours or less by 100%. I have done this for all my figures. The NHS trusts that had no data for waiting times were cut out.
- We also found out the average of patients waiting over 4 hours per month. To do this, we took the total attendance that waited over 4 hours and divided it by 3, due to the recorded month period.
