Following the introduction of Heinz’s delicious Culinary Tomatoes range last September, the expert in tomatoes is now launching a brand-new cookbook, the first made to help everyone improve their cooking – including AI itself!

While it’s hard to deny that AI has mastered many things over the last few years – from translating languages to even writing wedding speeches – something that still leaves a lot to be desired are its culinary skills. 

In fact, many people are even turning to social media to share their AI disasters after asking platforms to generate recipes and foodie images. 

So, Heinz has taken it upon itself to solve this problem once and for all and teach even AI how to improve and cook like a pro. How? Through a special, iconic ingredient – Heinz tomatoes. 

Leveraging over 150 years of tomato expertise, Heinz’s free online cookbook bridges the gap between food and technology, allowing Heinz tomato lovers to create perfect tomato-based recipes both digitally and in real life. There are over 30 recipes and images to explore, including Roasted Cauliflower Dahl and Chicken Enchiladas, all featuring one of Heinz’s Culinary tomato varieties. 

But how did Heinz go about doing this? Using their highly trained chefs, Heinz created and provided AI with over 30 tomato-based recipes with the result being that the next time someone wants to use AI for dinner inspiration, AI is now better equipped to generate a recipe that will definitely taste delicious in real life. When it came to fixing the shockingly unrealistic food images we’re used to seeing from AI, Heinz chefs partnered with AI experts to make the ideal prompts these tools need to generate tempting, realistic food images.

Not only are Heinz tomatoes helping chefs at home to up their gastronomy skills, they’re also helping AI to cook better now and in the future, too!

In the cookbook, Caio Fontenele, Heinz New Ventures Director, said:
