Saudi City Nearing WHO Healthy City Designation: A Step Closer to Health and Wellness

A team of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) concluded an assessment visit to Jeddah on Tuesday, February 6. The visit coincided with a three-day health forum held at King Abdulaziz University, which included various activities aimed at evaluating the progress of the city’s healthcare challenges and opportunities.

The Jeddah Healthy City Program aims to obtain the international accreditation certificate provided by the WHO to become one of the global healthy cities that care about improving the local environment and advancing the health of the population. During the program, 171 activities, 41 qualitative initiatives, and 18 general volunteer opportunities were implemented.
