Porsche Taiwan Celebrates Five Years of ‘Dream Together’ Initiative
Fostering hope, empowering dreams: Porsche Taiwan celebrates a significant milestone with its ‘Dream Together’ Programme, a CSR initiative that has been supporting communities in their development.
Over the past five years, the programme has partnered with the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation and the Society of Wilderness, focusing on education and environmental sustainability. These efforts have brought tangible benefits to local communities, from inspiring youths in rural areas through the Boyo Summer Class Tour introduced in 2021, to protect marine ecology and native species with over 700 members of the Porsche Family, removing over three tons of waste in Taiwan’s diverse habitats. The ‘Dream Together’ Programme aims to expand its impact across various regions of the island.
Porsche Taiwan hosted a special celebration at the newly established Porsche Driving Centre in Lihpao Racing Park. The event underscored the company’s support to its nonprofit partners, highlighting plans for future collaboration. A standout moment was a specially curated track experience for young dreamers from four Boyo centres in central Taiwan. These students were given a behind-the-scenes look at Porsche’s cutting-edge facility, expressed their creativity by painting their own 911 cut-outs in vibrant colours, and felt the excitement during an exhilarating taxi lap in Porsche’s all-electric sports car. This unique track session was more than just thrilling; it was an inspirational experience that reinforced the program’s mission to empower the next generation.
“Over the past five years, the ‘Dream Together’ Programme has supported our partners in promoting rural education and environmental sustainability by upholding Porsche’s core values—passion, pioneering spirit, sportsmanship, and one family. Porsche Taiwan has endeavoured to inspire students in remote areas to pursue their dreams through various activities,” remarked Christian Nater, CEO of Porsche Taiwan. “We are delighted to welcome Boyo students as our first guests following the grand opening of the Porsche Driving Centre on the fifth anniversary of the ‘Dream Together’ Programme. Looking forward, we will continue to leverage diverse initiatives to expand our social outreach, building on the remarkable progress we’ve achieved with partners and striving for a more sustainable future for all.”
Reflecting on this journey, Chuan-Yi Tang, Chairman of the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation, shared: “Through the Summer Class Tour, Porsche Taiwan has shown our students that even the boldest dreams can come true with dedication and hard work. Their volunteers have set great examples and, more importantly, brought novel and valuable experiences to rural areas. We appreciate their genuine support.”
Porsche Taiwan steadfastly supports the Society of Wilderness’s core mission of environmental conservation, with a partnership grounded in mutual respect. “Porsche Taiwan’s volunteers bring a refreshing energy to our events,” said Chi-Ting Lee, Chairman of the Society of Wilderness. “They are always up for the challenge, no matter how tough the conditions may be.” Since 2021, Porsche Taiwan has supported the Society’s Ocean Initiative along Taiwan’s coastlines, promoting ecological conservation and raising public awareness.
