Mövenpick Launches 2024 ‘Kilo of Kindness’ Campaign to Support Global Communities

PARIS, October 14, 2024 – Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce the launch of the 2024 edition of its Kilo of Kindness campaign. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is proud to launch the 2024 edition of its Kilo of Kindness campaign. For over 70 years, generosity has been at the heart of the Mövenpick promise. This year, more than 75 hotels and resorts in 30 countries will collect donations from their communities to support those most in need.

The Kilo of Kindness campaign, launched nine years ago, invites customers, Heartists® and local residents to donate food, clothing or school supplies, which are then donated to partner charities. Each donation echoes the Mövenpick spirit, for which the smallest act of generosity can have a significant and lasting impact.

From October 14 to November 15, 2024, Mövenpick invites you to participate by dropping off donations of your choice: food, clothing, school supplies, toys, linens, furniture, books, sports equipment or electronic devices such as computers at any participating hotel around the world.

A Culture of Generosity

Since 1948, Mövenpick has been nurturing a culture of generosity inspired by its visionary founder, Ueli Prager, who believed in making the ordinary extraordinary. Launched in 2015, Kilo of Kindness has impacted thousands of lives around the world, with over 90,000 kg of donations collected. The initiative is a powerful reminder that generosity knows no boundaries and unites people and communities with a common purpose: to make the world a better place.

Celebrating Kindness Around the World

Kilo of Kindness reflects the core principles that drive all Mövenpick hotels: cultivating connections, inspiring responsible culinary ethics and practices, and encouraging people and communities to come together. Partnering with charities around the world reflects Mövenpick’s values, and can inspire other global hotel brands to extend their reach beyond the walls of their properties. Through Kilo of Kindness, Heartists® , guests and communities come together to help those in need, and actively participate by collecting donations and contributions that have the power to transform lives. These donations support the work of charities around the world that put food at the heart of sustainable initiatives , providing nutritious meals and basic foods , and implementing initiatives that invite connection and discovery  through educational materials, books, and drawing and painting supplies.  Each participating Mövenpick hotel selects a local charity partner, which ensures that donations are distributed close to the property.

Join the Generosity Movement

On the occasion of the new Kilo of Kindness campaign, Mövenpick invites everyone to drop off their donations at participating hotels from October 14 to November 15, 2024. These will be given directly to local charities.

How to participate

1. Visit Movenpick.com to find the participating property closest to you.

2. Gather non-perishable food items, second-hand clothing, school supplies, toys, linens, books, sports equipment and working electrical appliances.

3. Bring your donations to the nearest participating Mövenpick hotel from October 14 to November 15, 2024.

4. Drop off your donations in the designated area in the Mövenpick lobby. One of our Heartists® will be there to advise you if necessary.
