Luxury Hotel Launches World’s First Sleep Enhancement Program Redefining Wellness Tourism

InterContinental Singapore Launches World-First Sleep Technology Partnership

InterContinental Singapore has become the first hotel in the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio to offer NuCalm’s full Sleep Performance Suite, including its flagship DeepSleep programme, in every guestroom. The move marks a global first for the luxury brand and a major step in redefining wellness-focused travel.

NuCalm’s technology uses patented neuroacoustic software and frequency stimulation to guide the brain into states of deep relaxation, focus, or restorative sleep. Guests can use it to recover from jet lag, prepare for important meetings, or simply prioritise rest. At InterContinental Singapore, the DeepSleep programme will be accessible via in-room sound bars, allowing it to play seamlessly through the night.

General Manager Andreas Kraemer said the partnership reflected growing demand for wellness-centred hospitality. “This isn’t just about elevating luxury; it’s promoting holistic wellbeing at every stage of the guest journey,” he said.

Alongside DeepSleep, the NuCalm suite includes tracks tailored for recovery (Rescue), peak performance (Ignite), concentration (Focus), creativity (FlowState) and short recharges (PowerNap). Guests can access these through the in-room system or the NuCalm app, with the option to use personal headphones.

Suite guests will receive complimentary VIP EDGE access, which includes all NuCalm products, while other guests can purchase the service via QR codes provided in-room or at the front desk.

NuCalm CEO Jim Poole said the collaboration brought the company’s neuroscience-based wellness technology to hospitality in “a truly integrated way,” enabling deep rest and mental clarity “anywhere, even while on the move.”

IHG Hotels & Resorts operates more than 6,600 properties across over 100 countries, while NuCalm, originally developed as an FDA Class III medical device for elite military and professional users, is now available to the public via subscription.
