Dine & Design Experience
For a fully immersive Fornasetti experience, Mandarin Oriental offers an exclusive Dine & Design package. Guests will stay in the Fornasetti Suite, which features original Fornasetti furnishings, and enjoy a seven-course menu crafted by Executive Chef Antonio Guida. This meal is served in the private dining room, Saletta Duomo, at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Seta. The package also includes a breakfast served in-suite or at the Mandarin Garden, along with a VIP welcome at the nearby Fornasetti Store, a true cabinet of curiosities. The Dine & Design offer is available year-round, subject to availability.
The Fornasetti Suite
Located on the hotel’s ‘noble’ second floor, the 100-square-meter Fornasetti Suite is a unique gem. Furnished with original Fornasetti pieces, the suite is divided into a living area, bedroom, master bathroom, and guest bathroom. The design of the suite reflects the highest levels of Milanese creativity and serves as a tribute to Piero Fornasetti’s eclectic artistry. The suite’s décor features iconic pieces such as the ‘Riflesso’ wallpaper, the ‘Ultime Notizie’ table, and ‘Capitello’ chairs in the dining area, creating a whimsical yet elegant atmosphere.
Dining at Saletta Duomo
Saletta Duomo, an intimate private dining space within Seta, is named after the Duomo Sommerso (Submerged Cathedral) panel, inspired by a 1951 Fornasetti drawing. This private room provides an ideal setting for Executive Chef Antonio Guida’s seven-course menu, which features a combination of historic dishes and new creations like the Risotto Fornasetti. This signature dish pays tribute to Barnaba Fornasetti, the current custodian of the atelier, who has guided the brand to its global acclaim.
CaraLina – A Fornasetti Cocktail
Inspired by Lina Cavalieri, the muse of Fornasetti, the CaraLina cocktail is a playful twist on the classic Negroni. Served in a glass from the “Tema e Variazioni” series, the cocktail blends Campari, Mezcal, Ancho Reyes, Cocchi Barolo Chinato, and Chocolate Bitter. Topped with a disk of chocolate and a touch of smoke, the drink reveals Cavalieri’s enigmatic gaze at the bottom of the glass, adding a whimsical touch to the experience. The CaraLina cocktail is available exclusively at Mandarin Garden for EUR 25.
