BMW Motorrad Achieves Record-Breaking Sales in Company History
BMW Motorrad achieved a record-breaking year in 2024, selling 210,408 motorcycles, its strongest sales result ever. Germany remains the largest market, driving success in Europe, the U.S., Asia, and Latin America. The diverse product portfolio and the introduction of highly anticipated models, such as the BMW M 1000 XR, S 1000 XR, R 1300 GS, and R 12 NineT, were key contributors to this milestone.
Europe accounted for 118,727 units, making it BMW Motorrad’s most significant region, with Germany leading at 26,177 units (up 8%), followed by France (20,693), Italy (16,617), and Spain (13,009). Central Europe saw a 12% growth with 11,411 units sold. Other notable markets include the U.S. (17,272 units), Brazil (15,267), China (13,872), and India (8,301), all contributing significantly to the global sales record.
The flagship boxer models, including the BMW R 1300 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure, led the charge, selling over 68,000 units globally. High-performance four-cylinder models, like the BMW S 1000 RR, also shone, with 27,147 units sold, maintaining their leadership in the super-sport segment.
In the middle-class and sub-500cc segments, the renewed F-series (F 800 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, among others) and the versatile BMW G 310 lineup sold 40,890 and 22,339 units, respectively. Urban mobility offerings, including the BMW CE 04 and CE 02 electric models, achieved impressive sales of over 20,000 units.
