Delivering 2 Million Medication Packages to Patients’ Doorsteps in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh

Saudi Health continues to provide mail delivery services for medications for the fourth consecutive year, distributing medications to beneficiaries free of charge.

The service has achieved a remarkable accomplishment by delivering over two million medication packages since its launch in 2020.

The program provides medications to patients receiving home healthcare, those with chronic diseases, the elderly, people with disabilities, those with low immunity, cancer patients, patients of psychological clinics, and patients who live far from their treatment centers.

The service aims to improve the patient’s experience and ensure the continuous availability of medication to those who need it, wherever they are. It includes regular and non-refrigerated medications (stored at temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius) and refrigerated medications (stored at temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius). And excludes high-risk medications.

Saudi Health’s focus on expanding the Mail Delivery Service for medication comes to facilitate beneficiaries’ access to healthcare services and improve quality levels, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
