Located in the historic city of Ras Al Khaimah, an up-and-coming destination with a glamorous image and vibrant atmosphere, it confronts the elements. This emirate, whose two enclaves are located in the north of the country, faces the sea and the mountains. Designed by award-winning interior design firm Kristina Zanic Consultants, the decor is refined, expressing a reinvented elegance. The Cultural Link, Sofitel’s famous emblem with two intertwined geometric curves – symbols of two cultures meeting to create a unique experience – is expressed here through a French decor in a Mediterranean color palette.
At the reception, French sophistication meets the grandiose details inherited from local culture — through the remarkable artwork in the lobby that highlights the region’s heritage for example — creating a powerful dialogue between the two worlds. A singular place, bathed in intense light and bordered by lush gardens. The floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the picturesque landscape of Ras Al Khaimah.
This is where each visitor is greeted with Sofitel’s signature “Bonjour” and a cup of traditional local coffee, before being invited to relax on one of the luxurious armchairs showcased, crafted from velvet. All laid out on a 14-metre long, handmade, custom-made carpet for the hotel. The journey has already begun.
Here and there, elements of the French art de vivre have been enhanced with magnificent Arabic motifs. A dramatic black and white scheme is complemented in most spaces with mustard, sage, coral and teal tones, inspired by the region’s landscapes – between terracotta mountains, lush mangroves, the waters of the Persian Gulf and white sand beaches.

After a dip in one of the hotel’s pools, guests can return to the comfort of their room. At Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, they will be accommodated in one of the 292 spacious rooms and suites with unrivaled charm, or in large houses dedicated to families. Between bright hues and artistic touches, nods to Emirati heritage are scattered throughout the rooms, such as in the intricately patterned carpets inspired by traditional Al Sadu weaving. Local touches that blend perfectly with contemporary French style, transforming the hotel into an ideal retreat where disconnection is essential.

Among them, the Citron pastry shop, nestled in the lobby, embodies modern French elegance. For a culinary exploration, the East restaurant invites you on a journey around the world. By one of the outdoor pools, the Samphire Pool Bar offers a refreshing cocktail menu. Then, make way for the authenticity of French cuisine with Réunion. The Waka restaurant offers a celebration of Polynesia’s culinary heritage. And wine lovers can enjoy the selection of international bottles at the Veritas Wine Bar.

To immerse yourself in the local culture, the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort offers a variety of activities every day, all year round. Among the sources of escape: the hotel is the first Sofitel in the United Arab Emirates to benefit from a Sofitel Spa with Clarins, offering treatments adapted to the needs of all skin types. After a moment suspended in expert hands, relaxation continues in one of the hotel’s outdoor pools, set up facing the Persian Gulf. With a set of baths reserved for adults (including a Jacuzzi), a pool dedicated to children (located next to an Aqua Splash area) and two large pools with a bar accessible to all – every visitor will be seduced.
