NIO July Update: Record Deliveries and Market Growth Highlights
20,498 Units Delivered in July, Hitting 20,000 for Third Straight Month
In July 2024, NIO delivered 20,498 vehicles. The deliveries consisted of 11,964 premium smart electric SUVs, and 8,534 premium smart electric sedans. NIO delivered 107,924 vehicles year-to-date in 2024, increasing by 43.9% year-over-year. Cumulative deliveries of NIO vehicles reached 557,518 as of July 31, 2024.
4 NIO Houses Opened Globally, 62 Power Swap Stations and Power Charger Stations in July
In July, NIO opened 4 NIO Houses globally and 27 Power Swap Stations, and 35 charging stations. As of July 31, NIO has 159 NIO Houses across the globe, and has built 2,509 Power Swap Stations worldwide, with 820 of them on expressways in China and 51 across Europe. NIO has built 3,945 Power Charger Stations and 22,970 chargers, and connected to 1,674,000+ third-party chargers, and has offered power swap services to users beyond 49 million times in total. NIO has launched 76 Power Journeys routes in China and two routes in Europe, with the latest one opened in July, starting Copenhagen in Denmark and finishing in Stavanger of Norway.
NIO Value System 3.0 Released
On July 23, NIO released the Value System 3.0, featuring updates on the company’s mission and vision. NIO IN 2024 Successfully Held
On July 27, the Al-themed NIO IN 2024 was successfully held at the Shanghai World Expo Center. NIO’s Founder, Chairman, and CEO, William Li, along with VPs from NIO’s Digital Systems, Product Experience, AD Development, NIO Phone, and Smart Hardware, unveiled major technological breakthroughs across various areas, including AD chips, full-domain vehicle operating system, smart systems, assisted and intelligent, and connectivity. At the event, it also launched the All-New NIO Phone.
The World’s First 5nm AD Chip, NIO NX9031, Has Successfully Taped Out
On July 27, NIO announced the successful tape-out of the world’s first 5nm AD chip, the NX9031. As the industry’s first high-performance AD chip built using a 5nm automotive-grade process, the NX9031, including the chip and its low-level software, has been independently designed by NIO. Boasting over 50 billion transistors, NX9031 delivers comprehensive capabilities and execution efficiency, achieving the performance of four industry-leading chips.
NIO Officially Revealed Full-Domain Vehicle Operating System
On July 27, NIO’s Founder, Chairman and CEO William Li revealed he complete details of SkyOS, NIO’s full-domain operating system for smart EVs. As an industry breakthrough, SkyOS serves as the technological foundation for NIO in the era of smart EV and AI.
The New Banyan 3 Smart System Was Officially Introduced
On July 27, the new Banyan 3 smart system, built on core AI capabilities, was introduced. Banyan 3, an AI-powered vehicle smart system, brings a new NOMI GPT architecture, accelerating the evolution of NOMI. The first version of the Banyan 3 smart system is expected to roll out to users by the end of August starting from the Chinese market.
NIO Unveiled China’s First World Model for Assisted & Intelligent Driving
On July 27, NIO unveiled China’s first world model for assisted and intelligent driving, the NIO WorldModel (NMW). NIO also introduced NADArch 2.0, a new architecture for its assisted and intelligent driving.
NIO Launched the All-New NIO Phone
On July 27, NIO’s Founder, Chairman and CEO William Li announced the All-New NIO Phone is now available for sale in China. Prices are set at RMB 6,499 for the Performance Version, RMB 6,899 for the Flagship Version, and RMB 7,499 for the EPedition.
NIO Released the Industry’s First End-to-End AEB
On July 11, NIO released Banyan 2.6.5 featuring the industry’s end-to-end Automatic Emergency Braking. The Smart Safety 2.0, a range of upgraded active safety features, can provide all-around protection to NIO users.
NIO Day 2024 Will be Held in Guangzhou
On July 21, the host city voting for NIO Day 2024 came to an end. Guangzhou has been selected by the NIO user community as the host city for this year’s NIO Day, an annual gathering of NIO and its users.
