New Joint CEOs announced for Crowdfunder as Rob Love steps down

In a significant shift in its corporate structure, Crowdfunder has unveiled Dawn Bébe and Simon Deverell as its new Joint Chief Executive Officers. This change comes as Rob Love, co-founder and long-standing CEO, transitions away from his executive role.

With extensive experience in the company, Bébe, currently the Chief Operating Officer, and Deverell, the Chief Creative Officer, both co-founders of Crowdfunder, are set to steer the organization into its next phase. Rob Love expressed his eagerness to support Crowdfunder from a new perspective while maintaining his role as a major shareholder. The trio originally launched Crowdfunder in 2012, creating a significant impact in the crowdfunding sphere.

In their new roles, Bébe and Deverell will guide the strategic direction of Crowdfunder, continuing its mission to support diverse projects and ideas. The platform has experienced a decade of robust growth, facilitating over £350 million in funding for numerous initiatives, including a notable £1 million for Oxfam through a Glastonbury prize draw. Crowdfunder’s partnerships span across notable organizations such as Aviva, British Airways, Co-op, and various local authorities, and it recently expanded its reach with the acquisition of CrowdJustice.

Dawn Bébe shared her enthusiasm about the new role, emphasizing Crowdfunder’s significant contributions to societal challenges and her anticipation for further impact in collaboration with project owners and leading brands. She also acknowledged Rob Love’s foundational role in Crowdfunder’s journey.

Simon Deverell outlined the company’s focus on enhancing its platform and brand, aiming to become the premier fundraising platform for communities and charities. He highlighted the intention to broaden support to organizations and brands, facilitating their efforts in creating substantial and measurable social impact. “This new chapter,” Deverell noted, “builds upon the solid foundation established by Rob, and I’m excited to lead Crowdfunder alongside Dawn into an invigorating future.”

Darren Westlake, Chair of Crowdfunder, extended his gratitude to Rob Love for his decade of leadership and invaluable contributions, wishing him success in his future endeavors.

Crowdfunder’s leadership change marks a pivotal moment in the company’s history, promising continued innovation and growth under the guidance of Bébe and Deverell.
