Porsche Opens Eighth Charging Lounge in South Baden Ahead of Summer Holiday Travel

Porsche Opens New Fast-Charging Lounge Near Europapark Rust
Porsche has unveiled its latest Charging Lounge in Ringsheim, Ortenau, strategically located near the A5 autobahn and the popular Europapark Rust. Designed exclusively for Porsche owners, the new fast-charging station delivers up to 400 kW of charging power and offers a premium experience tailored to match the brand’s identity.
This marks the eighth Porsche Charging Lounge in Europe, complementing existing locations in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld, Hamburg, Ingolstadt, Koblach (Austria), Leonberg, and Nyon (Switzerland). The positioning of the lounges now enables Porsche drivers to plan seamless journeys across the continent—from Germany’s Rhineland to the Swiss Riviera.

The Ringsheim lounge, which opened just in time for the summer holidays in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, features six high-power DC charging points. A Taycan, for example, can reach 80 per cent charge from 10 per cent in just 18 minutes. The newly launched electric Macan achieves similar results in about 21 minutes.
Beyond technical performance, Porsche is placing emphasis on comfort. The lounge includes roofed outdoor seating with built-in speakers, indoor lounge chairs, a wide selection of snacks and drinks, coffee and water stations, modern restrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi—creating a restful stopover for both driver and passengers.

The facility is fully integrated with the Porsche Charging Service, which now connects more than 900,000 charging points in 26 countries.
Among these are over 85,000 high-power DC charging stations, including more than 750 IONITY locations across Europe. Aral Pulse and Fines Charging in Bulgaria have also joined Porsche’s growing list of preferred partners, with Porsche Charging Service Plus customers enjoying preferential rates, such as €0.39/kWh at selected stations.

Access to the lounges is simple: locations are highlighted in the Porsche Communication Management system and My Porsche app. Entry is granted through license plate recognition linked to a Porsche ID, or alternatively via a charging card or QR code. Payments are processed centrally through the Porsche Charging Service, with options for ad hoc transactions.
The Ringsheim lounge represents another step in Porsche’s commitment to premium electromobility, providing owners of its all-electric models with fast, reliable, and comfortable charging options across Europe.
