Hotel Indigo Opens New Design-Inspired Property in London’s Clerkenwell

IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the latest addition to its luxury and lifestyle portfolio with the opening of Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, a 143-room property located just steps from Farringdon Station.

Situated at 2 Clerkenwell Road, the new hotel draws on the area’s deep-rooted legacy of craftsmanship, clockmaking, and architectural innovation. From blueprint-style headboards to guest room numbers designed as miniature clocks, every detail has been crafted to reflect Clerkenwell’s inventive spirit.

“Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell invites guests to discover the stories of this fascinating part of London,” said General Manager James Olivier. “From local design influences woven into our interiors to thoughtfully crafted food and drink experiences, we’re here to create memorable stays that connect our guests to the soul of Clerkenwell.”

The hotel’s three dining venues also celebrate the district’s rich culinary and cultural identity. Wilderness Kitchen offers Mediterranean-inspired vegetarian dishes using seasonal British produce, Sabini Bar pays homage to 1920s local figure Charles Sabini with signature cocktails and curated wines, and the restored Victorian pub, Hat and Feathers, provides a traditional British pub experience complete with a “Dickens Corner.”

Designed as informal yet elevated social spaces, the food and beverage outlets aim to serve both hotel guests and the wider community. “We’re proud to offer a warm, design-rich environment that honours the spirit of the neighbourhood,” added Keith Davies, the hotel’s owner.

For events, the hotel includes two light-filled meeting rooms above Hat and Feathers, accommodating up to 60 guests. The pub itself is also available for private hire.

Additional offerings include a £40 food and beverage credit with direct bookings, and a Pet Getaway package for canine companions. With convenient transport connections via the Elizabeth Line and Thameslink, Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell is ideally placed for both leisure and business travellers. Room rates begin at £260 per night.

Hotel Indigo now operates 169 properties globally, including recent launches in Albufeira and Leeds, with 136 more hotels in development.
