Accor Signs Treasure Island Las Vegas to Handwritten Collection in Major U.S. Expansion

Accor has announced a partnership with businessman and casino owner Phil Ruffin to bring Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino into its growing Handwritten Collection portfolio. Set to officially debut later this year, the 2,884-room resort will operate under a franchise agreement, becoming the second Handwritten Collection property in the U.S., following the Hotel Stratford San Francisco.

Overlooking Las Vegas’ premier racing circuit and offering sweeping views of the Strip and surrounding mountains, Treasure Island joins more than 25 Handwritten Collection hotels open worldwide, with over 35 more in development. The move strengthens Accor’s foothold in North America, where it now operates more than 550 hotels.

“The union of Treasure Island and Handwritten Collection creates a one-of-a-kind guest journey, where connections are treasured, wonder is discovered, and every stay is a narrative waiting to unfold,” said Camil Yazbeck, Accor’s Global Chief Development Officer. Ruffin added, “This next chapter brings new energy to the resort while preserving its unmistakable spirit.”

Accor brings Treasure Island Las Vegas to its Handwritten Collection, marking its largest hotel and expanding its U.S. footprint with a unique, story-driven resort experience.

Treasure Island will benefit from full brand support and global services from Accor, including marketing, distribution, and access to its ALL loyalty program, which has over 100 million members.

Recent upgrades to the property include a multimillion-dollar renovation blending contemporary comfort with thematic design inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale. Highlights include a sociable lobby, 10 restaurants, eight lounges, and signature venues such as Phil’s Steak House and Gilley’s Saloon. The property also boasts the Oleksandra Spa & Salon, expansive casino floors, and entertainment headlined by Cirque du Soleil’s “Mystère.”

Guestrooms feature views of Sphere Las Vegas and the Spring Mountains, alongside signature SensaTIonal pillowtop beds and luxurious marble finishes. Treasure Island also holds a Four Green Globes® certification for sustainability, aligning with Accor’s environmental commitments.

“With this signing, Treasure Island becomes the largest Accor hotel in the world,” said Thomas Dubaere, CEO PM&E, Accor Americas. “It’s a milestone for our Handwritten Collection and for Accor’s presence in the U.S.”

The Handwritten Collection focuses on distinctive stays shaped by the character of each property. Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino will aim to offer guests a uniquely Las Vegas narrative with every visit.
