130 Lancia Deltas Gather in Turin for a Legendary Event with Miki Biasion

  • Last Sunday, 130 Lancia Deltas paraded through the streets of Turin for the 2024 edition of Amiki Miei, the private initiative founded in 2008, based on Miki Biasion’s passion and dedication to the Lancia brand’s fans.
  • Held every other year, the meeting included a route through the streets of the birthplace of the Lancia brand, starting from Piazza San Carlo, with a stop at the Parco del Valentino during the Turin Motor Show and arriving at the Heritage Hub.
  • Biasion is the most successful Italian driver of all times who, by taking the Martini Racing team’s iconic Delta to victory in the 1988 and ’89 World Championships, contributed to making Lancia the most successful brand of all times.
  • The new Lancia Ypsilon, the first car in the brand’s new era, led the parade of vintage cars through the streets of Turin.
  • Miki Biasion is also supporting the Lancia brand in the development of the Lancia Ypsilon HF, the high-performance version of the first car in the brand’s new era, and of the Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, the model due to mark Lancia’s official return to the world of rallying.

“At Lancia, we are very proud to be part of this history and to have been here today with so many enthusiasts. The New Lancia Ypsilon was the car leading the brand into the electrification era and today, the model is leading a magnificent procession through the elegant streets of Turin: a symbolic moment of great importance in this phase of the car’s launch in Europe, right in the city where the brand was founded,” stated Charles Fuster, Head of Marketing & Communication for the Lancia brand.

“These occasions are always full of emotions and pride. I won two World Rally Championships with the Lancia brand, driving the Delta: an unforgettable achievement for me. I was so happy to be in Turin, in this iconic city for the brand, and to be able to share this experience with all Rally fans and Lancia enthusiasts.” said Miki Biasion.

Amiki Miei 2024
Turin hosted the 2024 edition of Amiki Miei, the now iconic meeting held every other year that began in 2008 based on Miki Biasion’s passion and dedication to Lancia brand’s fans.

This private initiative is a truly international gathering for the brand’s iconic model and gives thousands of enthusiasts the opportunity to share for a day their passion for the world of motoring, for the history of rallying, and for the most successful brand of all times.

There is also an unbreakable bond between Miki Biasion and the Lancia Delta. Indeed, by taking the Martini Racing team’s iconic Delta to victory in the 1988 and ’89 World Championships, the most successful Italian rallying driver of all times contributed to making of Lancia the most successful brand of all times, including in fifteen World Rally Championships, three Constructors’ and Endurance World Championships, one 1000 Miglia, twice the Targa Florio, once the Carrera Panamericana.

The ninth edition of the event, hosted at a different venue every year, took place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Turin: an iconic setting, filling the anniversary with meaning. The event is due to play out through the elegant streets of the capital of Piedmont, the city where the Lancia brand was founded in 1906, where its headquarters are still located, and where the New Lancia Ypsilon – the first car in the brand’s new era – was designed and developed.

And it is exactly the New Lancia Ypsilon that led the exciting parade of vintage cars: 130 accredited models and their respective crews from six different European countries in total set off from Piazza San Carlo, the heart of the city, to arrive in front of the Heritage Hub. A symbolic and even more significant journey, only a few months since the Lancia Renaissance began.

The brand’s relaunch will be accompanied by two historic returns, both scheduled for 2025: the Lancia Ypsilon HF, the high-performance version in the first car of the brand’s new era; and the Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, the model that will mark Lancia’s official return to the world of rallying, in line with its legendary sporting history. Lancia has relied on the support of Miki Biasion for the development of both models. Indeed, his experience has made it possible to increase the output of the New Lancia Ypsilon HF’s electric motor to up to 280 hp, and in parallel to refine the performance of the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF in terms of suspension, braking and engine calibration, aimed at consistent improvement to ensure optimum racing performance.
